Addiction?

Seen, in a London pub
on a Sunday afternoon.

Dad having a roast dinner with his kid,
together at the table, enjoying food.
Chatting, talking, spending time together.

As they finish their food
both quickly get back to what's important.
The boy looking down at his tablet,
tapping frantically
to win whatever he is playing.

Dad takes out his phone,
for a diffrerent kind of game,
swiping women left and right,
hoping to find the perfect match.

Is it an addiction,
do we need our phones
all the time
everywhere
as distraction
and to see the world
around us?

Let me know what you think!
